Athabasca Glacier
Jasper National Park
This photo of the Athabasca Glacier, is taken from across the Parkway,
above the Columbia Icefield Campground.
The Athabasca Glacier is the second largest, of nearly a dozen glaciers, fed by the Columbia
Icefield.
Here you can see about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) of the Athabasca Glacier.
To the right is the smaller Dome Glacier, and to the immediate left is Mount Andromeda (3442 m).
