Roche Miette/Talbot Lake
Jasper National Park
The vertical, gray, Palliser limestone cliff, in the upper left is Roche Miette (2316 m). It
is an awesome sight for those approaching Jasper National Park from the east, especially if its your first introduction
to the Rockies.
Here, along the Yellowhead Highway, the marshes of Talbot Lake provide a
good location for bird watching. Watch for Yellow-headed blackbirds.
